The Founder: Michael Friddle, Elder

For most of Michael’s life he sought truth through the lens of traditional religion, searching for meaning, structure, and purpose within established doctrines. Like many, he was raised to believe that truth was something granted by institutions rather than discovered through reason, discipline, and self-mastery. Yet, as he progressed in life, he found contradictions in these teachings—rules built on obedience rather than understanding, morality dictated by authority rather than logic, and a system that demanded submission rather than personal growth.

It was in his late 30s, after years of personal and intellectual refinement, that he truly awakened to the reality that truth cannot be handed down from institutions—it must be sought through personal exploration, rigorous thought, and voluntary acceptance. At the same time, he witnessed a societal system that appeared to function not in service of the average human, but in service of control—governments demanding obedience, corporations manipulating behavior, and ideologies weaponizing morality for political gain.

Through this realization, The Free Order Fellowship was born—not as another institution seeking to impose beliefs, but as a framework for individuals to reclaim their sovereignty, reject coercion, and pursue truth on their own terms.

Michael has been a registered Reverand in the State of Ohio since February 2018, under the Universal Life Church. 2025 brought the necessity and opportunity to bring forth almost a decade of drafting, forming, and preparation to society. Today he is studying for his Master’s Degree at Franklin University and taking deeper thought and life growth to the business world and to The Free Order Fellowship.

The Movement: The Birth of Free Order

The Free Order Fellowship did not arise from a single revelation or ideology—it emerged from a lifetime of questioning, refining, and rejecting systems designed to control rather than enlighten. It was built for those who recognize that true sovereignty is not granted by governments, religions, or institutions—it is earned through self-discipline, knowledge, and voluntary association.

From its earliest foundations, Free Order has been structured to avoid the traps that have corrupted other movements. It does not seek power, political influence, or mass conversion. It does not demand faith, obedience, or submission. Instead, it is built on the understanding that individuals must forge their own path, develop their own philosophy, and voluntarily engage with others who share the pursuit of knowledge, strength, and wisdom.

Over time, Free Order evolved into a structured philosophy of voluntaryism, personal responsibility, and self-mastery. Rejecting the authoritarianism of both left-wing and right-wing ideologies, Free Order established itself as a path for those who refuse to be ruled—either by governments, religious dogma, or societal pressure. It provides a framework for personal development, justice, ethical living, and the creation of voluntary communities free from coercion.

Unlike traditional movements that seek to grow through recruitment and control, Free Order spreads through those who embody its principles—those who live with honor, discipline, and a refusal to submit to systems of oppression.

This is not just a philosophy—it is a movement toward a future where sovereignty is reclaimed, coercion is rejected, and individuals take full responsibility for their lives. The Free Order path is not for everyone, but for those who walk it, there is no turning back.

Mission and Purpose

The Free Order Fellowship exists to provide a sanctuary for thinkers, skeptics, and seekers who reject control and embrace autonomy. It offers no commandments, only principles. No rulers, only individuals. No forced faith, only the freedom to explore. Its mission is to foster a world where belief is chosen, authority is questioned, and every individual is free to walk their own path.
